Working across London and the South East, we typically use steel anchor strands and bars for all our rock anchor projects, drilling holes into the face of the slope that is being retained. These anchors will be drilled deep into the rock and soil behind it. Along with grouting the annulus and installing the rock anchor, we will then add a face plate, pulled tight to the surface by increased tension on the steel anchor.
Additional facing can also be added as required and rock anchors are easily installed in multiple rows so the method can be quickly and easily adapted to cope with incredibly high loads.
