Soil Nailing
Soil nailing is just one of our specialist ground stabilisation options. Applied by our experienced and highly skilled ground stabilisation team, our soil nailing technique works by reinforcing the existing ground through the installation of closely spaced steel bars that are grouted into a slope or excavation by top down methods as digging and excavations proceed. Ideal for a range of ground engineering projects, soil nailing therefore creates a reinforced soil section that is stable beyond its natural angle of repose simply through friction along the length of the embedded nails.
Ground Anchors
Ground anchors are one of the most commonly used slope stabilisation, earth retention and ground strengthening methods across the UK. Created from extending steel bar, pre-stressed or cement-grouted tendons, ground anchors are drilled into the in-situ soil to provide both effective and additional structural support and stability to existing or proposed retaining structures.
Reinforced Soil Slopes
An economic and aesthetic alternative to the more conventional retaining walls and ground stabilisation, our reinforced soil slopes use natural, landscaped, sloping structures with geogrid polymer reinforcement that blend in with the native terrain. Ideal for a variety of locations and environments, our reinforced soil slopes are highly effective at providing earth retention and where possible use site-raised bulk earth work materials to avoid the import of granular quarry fill.
